About M. Bouldadakis
Mary Bouldadakis started as Dr. Christou’s secretary in 1988 and became the administrative assistant to Dr. Christou and the McGill Division of General Surgery when Dr. Christou was appointed the Head in 1995. She is the first person that our patients talk to as they embark on their quest to undergo weight loss surgery as a means of saving their lives, improving their health and their quality of life at our center. She co-ordinates all the appointments required before and after the initial office visit. She is also involved with our patient support groups and is on the fund-raising committee of the Bariatric Surgery Patients of the MUHC. She is always cheerful and puts on a happy face for our desperate patients, especially after their second (and in rare circumstances, third) cancellation of their operation due to emergencies at our busy quaternary care institution the McGill University Health center. With her constant smile and happy demeanor, she helps them get through the process as she assists Dr. Christou and Dr. Court in the constant re-adjustment of the OR list. Our program is fortunate to have her.
